Welcome to the Animals in Society: Animal Studies Scholar Advocacy blog. We blog about issues we find interesting and important. This is based on our research into human-animal relationships. We are both academics but this is our personal blog and the  opinions expressed do not necessarily represent the opinions of tour respective universities. Please feel free to comment on the blogs, we encourage debate. But while we realise passions can run high in many debates, we also expect bloggers to interact with each other respectfully, appreciative of people’s right to express different views. Personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated and the conveners have the right to remove any material considered offensive and/or out of step with the group’s goals.
